The C2C Story

For more than 22 years, C2C’s worldwide customer base has included diverse sectors such as government, petro-chemical, education, banking/finance, healthcare, law, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing, retailing, media/entertainment, and ranges from small businesses to enterprises with more than 150,000 employees. Microsoft® Exchange and Windows® File Server form the heart of our commercial and governmental customers’ businesses worldwide.

C2C develop products that assist with the challenges of mailbox size and content management since the mid 1990’s. Our initial product – MaX Compression, which compressed or decompressed all email attachments and reduced storage requirements by 50% or more with no impact on the end users, is still being used by companies with 100,000 users who gain immense value in a short period of time.

Our enterprise information management software, ArchiveOne is used to address email, file and messaging capacity, discovery, retention and protection, and comply with regulatory requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley, Freedom of Information Act, HIPAA, and financial regulations.  First introduced to optimize Microsoft Exchange performance, ArchiveOne has evolved over the years and now supports Windows File Servers as well as the latest Microsoft platforms such as Office 2013, Exchange 2013 and Office 365.

Since our beginnings as a custom solution provider of email management applications to our four millionth user and many years’ standing as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, C2C was recognized for its innovation. We received awards for our software, both in the US and Europe and for nine consecutive years have been recognized in the Gartner Magic Quadrants for Enterprise Information Archiving.   In 2013 ArchiveOne received two perfect scores in a comprehensive Network World evaluation comparing ten email archiving vendors. In addition to high scores for ease of use and installation, ArchiveOne earned the best possible scores for management and flexibility. The review credited C2C’s product with offering a “complete array of features, with enterprise-class functionality in management, granularity of permissions and scalability.”

ArchiveOne help organizations solve the headaches and heartaches of email, file and messaging capacity, access and protection management. ArchiveOne enables administrators to enforce data retention policies and comply with various regulatory requirements regarding the use, access and retention of critical data. ArchiveOne technology is built on an advanced analytical search and policy enforcement engine, consisting of a very broad-based, in-depth and mature set of analysis criteria used throughout the product line to centralize, automate and accelerate tasks to reduce risk and improve system usage.

In 2011, recognizing the need for organizations to be able to manage the elimination and migration of PST Data, C2C released PST Enterprise which automates the processes of eliminating PSTs by providing consistent policies that can operate across the organization. This scalable solution transparently discovers all of an organization’s PST files, both active files in current use as well as dormant ex-employee data, regardless of whether it is on a file server or client workstations and laptops.   In 2014, the solution won an MSExchange.org Gold Award scoring an impressive 4.8/5.  A review of the product by renowned Exchange MVP Steve Goodman concluded that PST Enterprise ‘is a product that should be top of your list for evaluation.’

In August 2014, C2C Systems was acquired by Barracuda Networks Inc who believe that C2C will help put Barracuda in a better position to offer customers a more complete archiving and information management product portfolio to simplify IT and control storage costs.  With a shared philosophy around simplicity and customer experience, they feel that C2C makes a natural extension to their business.
