C2C Systems Offers E-Mail Archiving to Any Storage Media

When a company needed additional email storage, it used to be cheaper to just buy another server. But as storage and storage-related costs skyrocket, managing what you have is the only way to lower total cost of ownership.

C2C Systems, a leading provider of email lifecycle management software for Microsoft Exchange, has opened up email archiving to a variety of storage media. The Archive One family of products integrates with leading storage management software, including CA BrightStor ARCserve, HP OpenView Data Protector and QStar Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM).

C2C's Archive One is architected to integrate with a range of storage management vendors, and is the only email archiving company certified to integrate with CA. Each integration is structured to work seamlessly with each product; unlike other vendors, there is no need to keep updating drivers to storage devices.

Gartner research indicates that storage is about 12 percent of data center TCO and more than 21 percent of total hardware expenditures. According to the recent Storage Management TCO Considerations report by analyst Craig Stanley, it is no longer less expensive to add storage instead of managing it, and enterprises should develop a process for evaluating storage costs and usage, accurately predict their storage needs and be capable of determining which storage technologies are the best fit for them.

Archive One products include Archive One Policy, a module to help enforce long-term email retention and retrieval; and Archive One Compliance, a secure, indexed archiving management application. All products are fast to install, do not require user training and can be implemented without consultancy services.
